GUEST/S USE THIS ACCOMMODATION AT THEIR OWN RISK.
Administration fee of R300 will be charged per booking. A retainer deposit of R3000 per booking will be held. The retainer deposit will be refunded approximately two weeks after your departure less any deductions necessary. You will receive the retainer deposit through an EFT to the bank account that you stipulate.
Disclaimer: The owner, its agent/s and/or the employee/s (“OWNER”), shall not be liable for, and the guest/s hereby waive/s and abandon/s any claims of whatever nature including but not limited to that for Theft, Injury, Loss or Damage of whatever nature, against the Owner, whether arising from the Owners default, negligence or otherwise. The guest/s, in addition to the aforesaid, hereby indemnify the Owner against any claims which may arise from whatever nature, whether arising from the Owners default, negligence or otherwise. The owner, its agents and/or the employee/s (“OWNER”), shall not be liable for, and the guest/s hereby waive/s and abandon/s any claims of whatever nature including but not limited to Acts of God, Municipal services, and weather, against the Owner. Guests are responsible for their own belongings. The guest signing this indemnity accepts full liability for damages caused by any member of the group and warrants that he has informed every member of the group of the indemnity and that each member of the group accepts such indemnity. The guest signing accepts the Terms and Conditions for the Guest House Summer Dreams / Summer Forever.
Should you wish to confirm this booking, please ensure that the booking deposit is in our account before the due date to avoid cancellation. Please be advised that 50% of the total quote is required for all bookings. Failure to pay deposit by the stipulated date will result in cancellation with no notification and the Owners will retain the right to re-book the unit to another client.
Please quote your FULL NAME on your deposit slip whenever you make a deposit. Only electronic payments or direct bank deposits will be accepted, we do not handle cash at the house. NO KEYS WILL BE RELEASED WITHOUT FULL & FINAL PAYMENT.
Inventories must be checked by the guest upon arrival, and any discrepancies reported within 12 hours of arrival to the housekeeper. If no shortages or damages are reported, the contents of the units will be regarded as correct, and the guests will be held responsible for any shortages or breakages incurred. Please note that the unit is only inspected after the client has vacated the premises.
CLEANING / WASHING FEE. On departure guests are required to leave the unit in a tidy state, if not, a cleaning fee of R600.00 will be deducted from the retainer deposit. If dirty dishes are not washed a washing fee of R300 will be deducted from the retainer deposit.
Any damage to the property immoveable or moveable i.e., stains on linen or towels, save for wear and tear will be deducted from the retainer deposit.
NO PARTIES / LARGE GATHERINGS /WEDDING NOT ALLOWED. The premises are let for holiday purposes ONLY and only for the period booked. The number of people occupying the premises must not exceed the maximum guests the house provides for (children inclusive). Guests will not be allowed to enter and or occupy the unit where their numbers exceed maximum guests per unit, in which case guests forfeit their full fees and retainer deposit.
DRUNK / DISORDERLY /NOISE. Guest and their visitors must abide by our terms and the rules of the local Municipality bylaws. The owner reserves the right to request a representative to remove guests if they are drunken and disorderly or cause a disturbance of the peace, in which case guests forfeit their full booking fee and retainer deposit. THIS IS A HOLIDAY HOUSE IN A PEACEFUL NEIGHBOURHOOD NOISE MUST BE KEPT TO THE MUNICIPAL BI-LAWS and CONSIDERATION OF NEIGHBOURS kept in mind. A R1000 fine will be deducted from the retainer deposit if any noise complaints are received after 10pm
NON-SMOKING this is a non-smoking residential property. Total forfeiture of retainer deposit to steam clean carpets, curtains, furniture will be implemented. Any property damaged with cigarette burns will be charged at full replacement cost (including transport costs).
ALARM ACTIVATION. The alarm must be activated at night for the safety of the guests as well as the protection of the property. If the alarm is not activated the retainer deposit will be forfeited.
NO PETS are allowed unless written approval is given by the owners.
FOR ALL BOOKINGS, PLEASE BRING, beach towels, black bags, toilet paper and dish washing liquid. A minimal amount of these items is supplied. All bed linen is provided.
CHECK-IN TIME: 14H00 CHECK-OUT TIME: 10H00 as our housekeeper needs to prepare for incoming guests. If guests have not checked out by departure time housekeeping is authorized to enter the property to clean. Early Arrival or Late Departure must be arranged in advance. Penalty of R1000 per hour for late checkout if not agreed in advance and deducted from the breakage deposit
CANCELLATION:
- Cancellation will result in forfeiture of the administration fee and 20% of the total booking. Cancellation must be in writing.
- Cancellations/Postponements 30 days or less will result in the full amount being forfeited
- If the unit that you have booked is not available due to unforeseen circumstances, we will offer you alternate accommodation or refund the payment
- If commission was paid to a 3rd party i.e., website booking then this must be paid by the guest
PAYMENT:
PEAK SEASON – a deposit of 50% is required and the outstanding balance payable 15 days before arrival
MID/LOW SEASON – a deposit of 50% is required and the outstanding balance payable 5 days before arrival
